Description
Project #2 in Costume Construction. Working on covering a set of modern shoes to look like a pair of 18th century court shoes.
Done! Not perfect, but done!
Started out with a pair of white satin heels from Goodwill, made a pattern based off of the shoe, added some leather to the heel, attached the fabric and trimmed it. Made the tongues. Added all the trim and soutache.
Not bad for a first try. This whole concept could be applied to almost any kind of shoe and fabric. Lotsa possibilities ^_^

The new "old" version of the shoes looks really nice. I like the color and texture a lot
